Study of the mechanism of carbon nucleus four-particle photodisintegration reactions

Description
Four-particle photodisintegration 12C(γ, p)3H2α and 12C(γ, n)3He2α have been studied. It is shown that these reactions proceed via s sequential scheme: 11B and 11C excited states decay with production of weakly excited states of 8Be, 7Li, and 7Be nuclei. A conclusion is made that the nucleons are being knocked out from a shell. The decay branching ratio is found. Angular distributions of neutrons are measured in the c.m.s. of the reactions. A conclusion is made that the asymmetry coefficient depends on the excitation energy of the residual nucleus at intermediate energies of the γ quantum
Abstract (Russian)
Исследованы реакции четырехчастичного фоторасщепления ядра углерода 12C(γ, p)3H2α и 12C(γ, n)3He2α. Показано, что эти реакции идут по схеме последовательного типа: возбужденные состояния ядер 11B и 11C распадаются с образованием слабовозбужденных состояний ядер 8Be, 7Li и 7Be. Сделан вывод, что нуклоны выбиваются из s-оболочки. Определена относительная вероятность ветвей распада. Измерены угловые распределения нуклонов в с.ц.м. реакций. Сделан вывод о зависимости коэффициента асимметрии от энергии возбуждения конечного ядра в промежуточной области энергий γ-квантаAdditional details
