Diffraction dissociation of neutrons on nuclei
Description
The reaction n + A → n* + A → (p + π-) + A, where A was a carbon, copper, or lead nucleus, was studied. The energy of the reaction centered at about 25 GeV/c. Mass and angular distributions and cross sections are found. There is a possible production of Δ(1236) on lead. (U.S.)
