Prominence-corona transition region
Creators
Description
Observations that define the structure and dynamics of solar prominences and the prominence-corona (P-C) interface are addressed. Methods for the derivation of interface models are discussed. The physical interpretations of these models are considered in terms of energy deposition and the consequences of mass flows. An attempt is made to identify a few basic problem areas in the modeling and understanding of the P-C interface region. 65 references
