Spin-isospin dependent effective interaction in nuclei

Description
The spin and isospin dependent part of the nuclear effective interaction is studied the experimentally known Gamow-Teller states in 48Ca, 90Zr and 208Pb. About half of the strength of the residual interaction in the nucleon-nucleon channel can be expounded by the correlated π + p exchange potential. Also, the corresponding interaction in the delta-nucleon channel is investigated and a reasonable agreement with the observed quenching of the Gamow-Teller strength is obtained. (orig.)
