Xeroradiography of the breast

Description
Xeroradiography is a simple method of radiographic examination of the breast, it is readily interpreted, and with good technic xeroradiography can afford a more accurate identification of tumor calcifications and the periphery of the tumors. Xeroradiography of the breast must be faced as a complemental method and when associated with the informations of the medical history, the clinical examination and informations of other complemental methods will afford an effective evaluation of women with breast disease. A Xeroradiografia mamaria consiste em um metodo radiografico simples, de facil interpretacao, que possibilita documentacao precisa dos diferentes componentes mamarios; ha grande detalhe das varias estruturas de densidade radiografica diversa, o que condiciona uma maior acuidade para identificacao das calcificacoes tumorais e da periferia dos tumores. A Xeroradiografia mamaria deve ser considerada como um exame complementar que associado aos dados de historia clinica, exame fisico e outros exames complementares, possibilita avaliacao segura e sistematizada de pacientes portadoras de patologia mamaria.
