Ceramic and titanium alloy base promising materials
Creators
Description
New developments are reported in the production technologies for continuous filaments of titanium alloy VT6 and ceramic fibers of ZrO2(Y2O3)-Al2O3 system with the use of melt extraction from a suspended drop (MESD) arizing from the interaction of laser of electron beam with a target. Experimental data on microstructure and strength properties of materials produced are presented. New materials are recommended to be used as structural ones in power engineering and nuclear industry
