Description

In Japan, basic strategies for safe disposal of radioactive wastes generated from nuclear facilities have been examined by each waste category. Common framework for radioactive waste disposal has been examined by the sub-committee of the Nuclear Safety Commission (NSC) since 2001 and will be finished in early 2004. This report describes the status of the basic strategies for each radioactive waste disposal and their implications
