Description

A new BaF2 (powder)-plastic mixture scintillator (BPS) has been used to detect neutrons against γ-ray background by means of recoil protons from plastics. An excellent pulse shape discrimination between neutrons (protons) and γ-rays (electrons) has been obtained in BPS. (orig.)
