Measurements of thoron and its progeny (active, passive method and calibration). Calibration for devices of thoron concentration
Description
When devices of thoron concentration are to be calibrated, there are several requirements. First, since the half life of thoron is 55.6 s, an exposure chamber with relative small volume is needed. Second, thoron gas should be supplied throughout the entire exposure period. Third, thoron source must be chosen adequately. Calibration procedures for thoron measurements and a thoron chamber developed by the authors are described in this paper. (author)
