Investigation of effects of geometry factors in complex radiometric method
Creators
Description
The influence of some geometrical factors on the results of mine wall sampling for Pb and Ba with a complex radiometric method based on a combination of X-ray radiometry with radioisotopes and the measurements of multiply scattered γ-radiation is discussed. As a primary source of γ-radiation 241Am and 75Se (activity approximately 90 mCi and approximately 20 mg equ. Ra) are used. A multi-channel γ-spectrometer with NaI single crystals of 10x10 mm is used for registration. From theoretical and experimental studies propositions are made to eliminate perturbations in the Pb determination in natural deposits
