Gravitational corrections to lepton--lepton Coulomb scattering
- 1. Department of Physics, Brandeis University, Waltham, Massachusetts 02154
Description
The contributions of order e2kappa2 to the scattering of two electrically charged nonidentical fermions are evaluated. The corrections to the graviton--fermion vertex are finite, and those to the photon--fermion vertex diverge, while the sum of all ultraviolet divergences is proportional to the Born amplitude. No infrared divergences are present in the cross section. The scalar-photon--graviton system is also investigated, with similar conclusions
