Description
Positions and widths of resonances corresponding to the quasimolecular 12C+12C rotational band of the 24Mg nucleus are calculated. The interaction potential of the two 12C nuclei includes not only the Coulomb and nuclear interaction but as well the repulsion terms which take phenomenologically into account the antisymmetry of the 24Mg wave function. It is shown that presence of such a core in the interaction potential of two 12C nuclei makes it possible to decrease appreciably the calculated resonance widths
