Production, melt processing and properties of high temperature superconducting bulk material
Description
The production of massive HTSL material for cryomagnetic applications is concerned mainly with the processing of single domain YBCO monoliths. Starting with optimised precursors and green bodies, large preferentially orientated single grains (monoliths) are produced using a modified melt crystallisation process. The properties of these monoliths, e.g. their inductive remanence, levitational force, fracture strength in bending, are optimised by the defined distribution of non-super conducting inclusions. The microstructure of these complex copper oxide ceramics is described. (orig.)

Die Herstellung von HTSL-Massivmaterial fuer cryomagnetische Anwendungen konzentriert sich im wesentlichen auf eindomaenige YBCO-Monolithe. Ausgehend von angepassten Precursoren und gepressten Gruenlingen werden ueber ein modifiziertes Schmelzkristallisationsverfahren grosse Einzelkoerner (Monolithe) mit einer Vorzugsorientierung hergestellt. Eine Eigenschaftsoptimierung (Remanenzinduktion, Levitationskraft, Biegebruchfestigkeit) erfolgt ueber den definierten Einbau von nicht supraleitenden Fremdphasen. Mikrostruktur und Gefuege geben den komplexen Aufbau diese Kupfer-Oxid-Keramiken wieder. (orig.)Additional details
