Accelerated titrimetric method for determination of manganese, chromium and vanadium from one test

Description
A method to determine Mn, Cr, V in structural, instrumental steels and cast irons has been developed. The analysis is conducted by titrimetric persulfate method in sulfuric-phosphoric acid medium without catalyst. Simultaneous oxidation of Mn, Cr and V using (NH4)2S2O8 with subsequent titration of Mn and Cr by Mohr's salt solution and of V (after preliminary reduction) - by KMnO4 solution is put in the basis of the method
