Preparation of [methylene-3H]-6-benzylaminopurine

Description
Catalytic hydrogenation of benzaloxime-O-acetate (I) with tritium and subsequent hydrolysis was used to prepare [methylene-3H]-benzylamine (III). Alkylation of compound III with 6-chloropurine yielded [methylene-3H]-6-benzylaminopurine (IV) with a specific radioactivity of 26 Ci/mmol. (author)
