Muon spin rotation spectroscopy in metallic spin glass systems
Description
An introduction is given into the application of muon spin rotation spectroscopy to spin glass problems. The principles of the μSR method are discussed in connection with basic properties of spin glasses. Important information provided by μSR on the dynamical behaviour of the impurity spins, the spatial structure of the freezing process, and the form of the autocorrelation function for the local fields are reviewed in chosen examples.
