Description
Based on the hydrodynamic description, the cooling of ion beams being in crossed magnetic fields is studied is work. It is assumed that such effect of cooling is caused by momentum transfer between the macroscopic degrees of freedom for a beam. We have compared the present method with other ones in order to find the use domain of the present approach. The relations between the beam parameters and the magnetic system providing the cooling effect are found

В рамках гидродинамического описания в работе рассматривается охлаждение ионных пучков, находящихся в скрещенных магнитных полях, за счет передачи импульса между макроскопическими степенями свободы пучка. Производится сравнение данного подхода с другими методами охлаждения пучков заряженных частиц. Определены начальные параметры пучков и магнитной системы, при которых происходит затухание радиальной компоненты скорости пучкаAdditional details
