Description
Information of baseline radiation level and activity content of terrestrial environment is essential during radiological emergency in view of increase in use of radiation sources in industry, health and academic centers and in case of mischievous act of using orphan sources to enhance their capability to counter the threat perception. This information will be helpful in predicting the enhancement in the radiation level and change in the radiological condition in areas surrounding the source as the physical form of the source may vary and change in its physical form is anticipated. Present work aims at baseline radiological mapping of region around Jaduguda uranium mineralized zone of Jharkhand
