Description
The α-Al2O3 samples with different crystallographic orientation were irradiated by Kr ions(energy 240-350 MeV and fluence 108-1012 ion/cm2). The thermostimulated exoelectron emission was used to study the changes in surface properties. it was found that the emission properties depend on crystallographic orientation of the samples under irradiation. The peculiarities of these dependencies are discussed. (author)
