Absorption of an electromagnetic wave normally incident on a warm plasma

Description

A theoretical analysis of an electromagnetic wave incident on a warm, homogeneous plasma half-space is reported. A static magnetic field is parallel to the plasma surface. Collisions are included to discuss several experiments; however, the approach is not restricted to collision-dominated systems. Particular attention is given to the plasma-vacuum boundary conditions.
