Bulgaria: ready for the next phase?

  • 1. Committee on the Use of Atomic Energy for Peaceful Purposes, Sofia (Bulgaria)

Description

It is time for the position of nuclear power in Bulgaria to be reviewed. The last four years have seen significant changes, but improvements are still required and opportunities may be lost if further action is not taken. However, it is necessary in the future that the responsibility for the operation, management and safety of the Bulgarian nuclear industry is recognised as resting in Bulgaria and not through the imposition of foreign agendas and requirements.
