Synchrotron radiation for radiobiology

Description

Present status of synchrotron radiation ranging from 0.1 to 2,000 A and its biological effects were outlined. Histological background of studies on effects of soft x-ray and ultraviolet, development of synchrotrons in Japan and foreign countries, apparatuses generating synchrotron radiation used for biological research in Japan were described. The necessity of the study at phase III of synchrotron radiation was also stressed. (Tsunoda, M.)
