Description
The distribution of hydrogen energy bonds in water is investigated by measuring the contact angle θ of a water drop during evaporation. The effect of γ-ray radiation (65 krad/h) on the θ-distribution function (water state spectrum) is reported. θ is considered as a stochastic parameter and its distribution function is directly related to the nonequilibrium energy spectrum of water. Water state spectra obtained after 1 or 2 minutes of γ-treatment are compared with untreated spectrum. A general tendency of shift in the energy levels occupation is observed - the higher energy levels population increase as opposed to lower energy levels. The average energies of the treated samples show an increase of 0.1 eV. 3 figs., 5 refs
