Description
China Lead Alloy Cooled Research Reactor (CLEAR-I) is designed by FDS team. CLEAR-I is part of the first stage of 'ADS Transmutation System' as one of the 'Strategic Priority Research Program' known as the 'Future Advanced Nuclear Fission Energy'. Based on the design requirement for the CLEAR-I and the features of ADS Transmutation System, a preliminary design of confinement system was presented. The radioactivity from each key position of the reactor was contained by the containment system. The release of quality and energy which may destroy the integrity of the containment system was dealt with. And the Relap5/Mod4 and Contempt-LT/028 code were used to verify the structural integrity. And at last the discussion for optimization was given. (authors)
