Daily intermittent rotation therapy (DIRT)
Creators
- 1. Obihiro Kosei Hospital, Hokkaido (Japan)
Description
It is difficult to do moving rotation therapy in some equipment. Daily intermittent rotation therapy (DIRT) was initiated to make it possible. This technique uses parallel opposed portals, changing the angle to the isocenter by 22.5 degree each day. We investigated the utility of this technique in this paper. In relation to this technique, we also inquire into the dose distribution in the frame of time and space. (author)
