The law of environmental protection in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic

The author surveys the present main regulations in the field of environmental protection in Czechoslovakia. In 1984 a law concerning the government supervision upon the reactor safety was enacted. Questions relating to the licensing of nuclear power plants and the transport and disposal of radioactive waste are regulated by the provisions of the Czechoslovakian Atomic Energy Commission. (CW)

Abstract (German)

Der Autor gibt einen Ueberblick ueber die wichtigsten geltenden Rechtsvorschriften im Bereich des Umweltschutzes in der Tschechoslowakei. 1984 wurde ein Gesetz zur Regelung der Staatsaufsicht ueber die Reaktorsicherheit erlassen. Fragen, die mit der Genehmigung von Kernenergieanlagen und mit der Befoerderung und Entsorgung radioaktiver Abfaelle zusammenhaengen, werden durch Vorschriften der Tschechoslowakischen Kommission fuer Atomenergie geregelt.
