Operation experiences at Paks Nuclear Power Plant
Description
Experiences in commissioning, operation and maintenance of the first two units of Paks Nuclear Power Plant are summerized. Excellent availability data of both units are supported by the detailed analysis of power generation losses due to shutdown, accidents, maintenance works. The most significant part of power generation losses can be attributed to failures of mechanical structures and equipment of the secondary and, paritally, of the primary coolant circuits. By means of thorough preparations the time demand of both reactor start-up and maintenance can be reduced. (V.N.)
