Magnetohydrodynamics fluctuating flow between two porous plates with variable suction
Description
An analysis of a flow of an electrically conducting rarefied gas in the presence of a uniform magnetic field with constant pressure gradient between two porous plates has been presented. There is a periodic suction velocity normal to the lower plate and an equal injection normal to the upper plate while the upper plate fluctuates. Induced magnetic field is neglected. Expressions for velocity and shear stress are obtained. Velocity profiles are shown graphically. The effect of hsub(1), the rarefaction parameter has also been shown. It is found that velocity increases as hsub(1) increases. (auth.)
