Description

Highlights: • NH2 functionalisation of mesoporous amorphous MgCO3 leads to an uncharged surface. • Surface modification hindered crystallisation of the amorphous material. • No crystallisation occurred even after 21 days in a moist environment. • It allows for easy water desorption during water sorption-desorption cycles.
