Development of a Radiation Transport Code under Adaptive Mesh Refinement Scheme

  • 1. Instituto de Fusion Nuclear, C/ Jose Gutierrez Abascal, 2, Madrid 28006 (Spain)

Description

A two dimensional, radiation transport code under adaptive mesh refinement scheme is being developed. In this paper its main features are presented, as well as a study about the so called ray effect, which produced undesirable effects in the solutions of Radiation Transport problems. The diamond difference relation applied to finite difference is compared to new developed algorithms in respect to ray generation. (author)
