Description
In this study, the influence of various environmental factors, and fundamental alloying elements, on corrosion behaviors in H2S-CO2-C1 environment is investigated. Especially it is clarified that temperature and pH value in various environmental factors should be taken into account for corrosion behaviors. The role of alloying elements on passivation film formation, is discussed. Effect of microstructure on mechanical properties is also investigated. Through the course of these investigations, a series of corrosion resistant alloy OCTG for H2S-CO2-C1- service was developed. A discussion related to application criteria of those alloys is presented
