Categorical course in radiation therapy: Hyperthermia. A. Evaluation of hyperthermia systems

Description

The demonstration of the efficacy and safety of hyperthermia treatments through multiinstitutional clinical trials mandates that the treatment procedures and data be of uniformly high quality at all participating institutions. A component of the verification of this requirement is the physical evaluation of hyperthermia systems used for treatment. This paper describes the protocols, procedures, and sample results of physics measurements performed during on-site reviews of hyperthermia facilities by the Hyperthermia Physics Center
