Description
The excitation of Langmuir waves by p-polarized electromagnetic waves in the region of plasma resonance is discussed. The measurement of electron energy fluxes out of the plasma shows the existence of Langmuir turbulence with an energy density higher than the thermal density. Measurements of both ion and electron energy spectra and the dynamics of their fluxes show the nonstationarity of the turbulence and also show that the dissipation of the turbulent energy is due to the self-breaking of the waves and their conversion at small-scale density fluctuations
