Determination of the Δ (1236) pole position
Description
A procedure is described for determining the position of a second-sheet resonance pole. This method is not model-dependent in the sense that it does not require the use of a resonance formula or other parametrization of the resonant phase shift. The method is applied to the Δ(1236) resonance, where the pole position in the W plane is found to be 1213-49i MeV.
