Repair aid which can be used to repair water-cooled nuclear reactors in open flooded reactor pressure vessels on the pressure vessel wall

Description

To simplify the repair and maintenance work, the invention provides a sealing box which is equipped with means for pressing on to the pressure vessel wall and with means for emptying areas of wall covered by the sealing box. In addition, the sealing box can be provided on the inside with supports for fixing inspection, test and working equipment and can be supported on a support ring, which can be lowered into the internal diameter of the reactor pressure vessel. The work is possible without taking the fuel elements out and without partial emptying of the pressure vessel. (orig./HP)

Abstract (German)

Zur Vereinfachung der Reparatur- und Wartungsarbeiten sieht die Erfindung einen Dichtkasten vor, der mit Mitteln zur Anpressung an die Druckbehaelterwand und Mitteln zur Entleerung der vom Dichtkasten ueberdeckten Wandbereiche ausgestattet ist. Zusaetzlich kann der Dichtkasten in seinem Inneren mit Halterungen zur Befestigung von Inspektions-, Pruef- und Bearbeitungsgeraeten versehen sein und an einem in den Innendurchmesser des Reaktordruckbehaelters absenkbaren Tragring gehaltert sein. Die Arbeiten sind moeglich ohne Herausnahme der Brennelemente und teilweise Entleerung des Druckbehaelters. (orig./HP)
