Think to neutrography for production monitoring
Creators
Description
Neutrography is efficient in production monitoring for defects localization, especially for pyrotechny. If radiography is often preferred for outer parts or layers defects detection, neutrography is often more efficient for internal parts or layers defects detection. But this last technique require experimental reactors, that are more and more closed by government policies. To overcome this limitation, new technology impact allows light neutron sources. An other advantage is the use of improved sensitivity detectors, that allows the use of low neutron fluences, and hence the application of more reasonable safety standards. For small scale enterprises, improved services have been settled (for France, practical information for CEA Saclay plant is given). (D.L.). 4 photos
