Reactivity of the coronary vessels of the heart and of the cirulatory system to some pharmacodynamic stimuli in acute radiation disease
Description
The cats were irradiated by the X-rays in doses 0,121 and 0,039 C/Kg. It has been stated that the acute period of the radiation disease is associated with significant changes in the circulatory system occuring due to the irradiation and with alterations of reactivity of that system on drugs. Increased reactivity of coronary vessels and of circulatory system to persantin, nitroglycerin, coffein and papaverin in irradiated cats causes the longer and deeper decrease in the arterial pressure, the greater decrease in the resistance of the coronary vessels and the increased blood supply to the heart muscle. The heart glycosides show the increased effect and toxicity in the first period of the acute radiation disease. 4 figs. (author)
