Investigation on the exotic phenomena observed in 238U + 27Al interactions

  • 1. Dept. of Theoretical Physics, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Calcutta (India)

Description

In the present investigation the last plate of the stack is scanned. The surviving U nuclei had energies of about 732 MeV/n and 371 MeV/n at the top and bottom of the 2 cm thick A1 target, respectively. The un fragmented nuclei leaving the A1 target were further looses energy upto 314 MeV/n in the 9 sheets of CR-39(DOP) plastic before entering in the sheet under observation with β = 0.66
