Qualification of radiation-hard dielectrics for capacitor applications
Description
Specific polymer dielectric materials have been identified that can be used to minimize the discharge of capacitors upon exposure to ionizing radiation. The testing procedures used to qualify the radiation-induced conductivity in capacitor dielectrics are discussed, and a comparison is made of various ''radiation-hard'' dielectrics that display low levels of radiation-induced conductivity
