CUORE and CUORE-0 status: toward a next-generation neutrinoless double beta decay experiment

Creators

Description

The Cryogenic Underground Observatory for Rare Events (CUORE) experiment search for the neutrinoless double beta decay (0νDBD) of 130Te. The first step toward the experiment is represent by CUORE-0, a single CUORE-like tower that is operated in the former CUORICINO cryostat, to validate the assembly procedure and that will also serve as a sensitive 0νDBD experiment in its own right. The status of CUORE and CUORE-0 and their sensitivities are reported
