Neutron-antineutron ascillations
Description
Possible dynamic and static experimental methods of measuring n-n-bar oscillations are described. The possibility to discover and measure n-n-bar oscillations by measuring the nuclear component of nuclear decay following the annihilation of an antineutron inside a heavy nucleus is analyzed. The expected background effect caused by energetic atmospheric neutrinos, muons and neutrons, is considered. The expected limit of the period of n-n-bar oscillations, obtainable by measuring the neutron component of the n-bar annihilation process is given. (author). 5 figs., 7 tabs., 44 refs
