Description of the integral calibration test of the KNK II DND system and safety report
Description
Integral calibration of the DND system of KNK II shall be carried out by inserting a fission product source of a U-Ni alloy into the reactor subassembly positions 100 and 511. Fission product release from this source takes place by recoil. Thus, the release rate can be determined. In this report, both the experimental set-up and the test program are described. Furthermore, it shall be demonstrated that the reactor safety is not adversely affected by this experiment
