Update on CP-violation

Creators

  • 1. Princeton Univ., Princeton, NJ

Description

This chapter discusses the status of CP violation in the neutral K-meson system; time reversal violation in other systems; matter-antimatter asymmetry; the neutral K and gravity; CP violation and gauge theories; and CP violation in D /SUP o/ D /SUP -o/ and B /SUP o/ B /SUP -o/ systems. Offers a few historical observations. Points out that it has been nearly two decades since it was discovered that the physical world was not completely symmetric under CP, and that a small but unmistakable violation appeared in the system of neutral K mesons. Presents discussions featuring Fitch, Castellani, Wilczek and others
