Protonic conductivity and thermal stability of the amorphous hydrogen uranyl periodate
Description
The amorphous hydrogen uranyl periodate of composition H4.5UO2(IO6)1.3.mH2O is a low-temperature protonic conductor, thermally stable up to around 40oC. Its protonic conductivity exponentially increases with increasing humidity of the atomosphere, as it was observed for other proton conductive particle or swelling hydrates. The value of conductivity at 23oC and about 60% of relative humidity approaches 5.10-3 (Ω.cm)-1. (author) 3 figs., 5 refs
