Two-Dimensional Elastoplastic Behavior of SAE 1100 Aluminum Plates This thesis primarily focuses on characterizing the two-dimensional elastoplastic behavior of SAE 1100 aluminum, a material used by the Chilean Nuclear Energy Commission for radiopharmaceutical production. Mechanical properties were characterized experimentally through tensile and bulge tests. Tensile tests were performed on the material in its original state and after heat treatment to compare its behavior. Data from these tests were processed to generate both engineering and true stress-strain curves. For the bulge tests, trials were conducted on both untreated material and material subjected to annealing, a heat treatment. The data collected enabled the creation of multiple curves representing material behavior, including the stress-strain curve. Digital image correlation (DIC) was employed during these tests to efficiently capture the necessary data for material characterization. Following testing and results analysis, a solid basis was established to apply various fitting models. These models, ranging from simple to complex approaches, were used to accurately describe material behavior. The models applied included the CPB06 model, Hill48's associated model, and Hill48's non-associated model. Developed for anisotropic materials, these models are particularly useful for predicting the mechanical behavior of composites and other materials with nonlinear responses. Model selection depends on the material's nature and the type of loading it undergoes, ensuring accurate representation of material behavior under different service conditions
