Demonstration of a communication between a subchondral synovial cyst of the medial malleolus and the ankle joint. Contribution of noninvasive imaging
- 1. Clinique Saint Joseph, 73 - Chambery (France)
Description
The authors report a case of an intraosseous cyst located in the distal end of the tibia. A typical subchondral defect with a narrow opening in the ankle joint was well defined by computerized tomography (CT) scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The diagnostic value of noninvasive techniques and differential diagnosis are specified after a review of the literature. (authors). 27 refs., 4 figs
