Selection of methods of estimating thermotechnical reliability of the reactor cores cooled by dissociating coolant

Description
The methods of estimating thermotechnical reliability of the reactor channels have been considered. As the deterministic method is too conservative, and the statistical technique is useful for estimation of reliability of one of the most loaded channels, the synthetic method has been recommended, based on the concept of the truncate law, allowing estimation of thermotechmical reliability not only the channels but also the cores of reactors, cooled by dissociating N2O4 coolant. It allows to take account of local deviations of parameters of channels and fuel elements more definetely and to determine the probability of failure-proof operation of the reactor core
