Impurity ion luminescence in wide-gaped crystals induced by powerful electron beams and optical flashes

Effective mechanisms of luminescence excitation of impurity ions within α-Al2O3:Cr, Ti; YAlO3:Ce, Ti, Y3Al5O12:Ce, Pr; BeAl2O4:Ti, Mg2SiO4:Cr, YLiF4:Ce wide-gaped crystals under the effect of nanosecond powerful electron beams, are studied. Cathodo- and photoluminescences are investigated. It is shown, that excitation efficiency of cathodoluminescence of impurity centres is determined by parameters of electron systems of cations of eigen substance and activator. 7 refs.; 2 figs
