Resonance neutron capture in structural materials

  • 1. Commission of the European Communities, Joint Research Centre, Central Bureau for Nuclear Measurements, Geel (Belgium)

Description

In view of the improvements recently introduced in γ-ray detection with the pulse-height weighting method, it was decided to revisit the field of data on neutron capture in structural materials. First, the 56Fe capture results obtained in Geel some years ago were revised by applying to the raw data base the correct weighting. Secondly, 60Ni capture measurements were performed at GELINA with a renewed detection setup. Resonance parameters are given for both isotopes in the range from 1 to 300 keV. (orig.)
