Elemental analysis of phosphate samples by short time irradiation with neutrons using K0 method

Description
Abu Tartur and gypsum phosphate samples were elementally analyzed using the pneumatic irradiation rabbit system (PIRS) at the ETRR-2 reactor. Thermal to epithermal neutron flux ratio f was estimated at the irradiation position using the cadmium ratio measurement for gold. The concentration values in ppm of uranium, rare earth elements and some other elements are presented. Standard phosphate Ph (1) was irradiated under the same irradiation conditions for gypsum phosphate. Also the pollution due the gypsum phosphate radiation by phosphate ore processing has been discussed
